In September we notched up a nice total in the romance category of 26 reviews, of 20 books, of 20 authors. When I sat down to collate this month’s results, I was pleased to see such a good cross section of romance covered, which means there is absolutely no shortage of books to choose from if you are need of a romance fix!

Matters of the Heart by Fiona Palmer, which I covered in last month’s round up, was our most reviewed title for September 2019. If you haven’t had the chance to read this stunning rural retelling of Pride and Prejudice, I urge you to add this one to your pile. The reviews from Theresa Smith Writes, Mrs B’s Book Reviews, Michelle formerly of Beauty & Lace, Brenda and Helen Sibbritt are all very enticing!

Long Way Home by Nicola Marsh was another popular title this month and it is next on my review pile. Although this one is fresh off the printing press, two glowing reviews rolled in thanks to Shelleyrae of Book’d Out and Helen Sibbritt.

The Blue Rose by Kate Forsyth continues to hit the spot for our romance readers. Another two reviews were submitted to our site in September by Jennifer Cameron-Smith and Jo of Booklover Book Reviews. I loved this one and it is so good to see readers embracing all this stunning book has to offer!

There was a lovely selection of new releases added to our site over the course of the past month. From rural romance thanks to Cathryn Hein’s Eddie and the Show Queen, to series based romance with Susanne Bellamy’s In the Heat of the Night (Bindarra Creek A Town Reborn Book #2), contemporary romance in A Plan Unravelled by Lia Spencer, mature romance with The Life She Deserves by Maggie Christensen, to historical romance in The Bushranger’s Wife by Cheryl Adnams and Mills and Boon title, Demanding His Desert Queen by Annie West.

Continued interest in romance titles that appeared in previous round-ups during September 2019 included:

September 2019 welcomed a total of seven older romance titles. Here is what we read:

It is time for me to bring the September 2019 romance round up to a close and wish you all the very best of luck for the final quarter of the challenge. Keep linking your reviews to our database, we love to see them!
