Attention, authors! The reviews are happening, but who’s reading the reviews?

To get more attention for books by Australian women, we need to help raise the profile of the people reading and reviewing them for the AWW challenge.

Here’s how you can help.

Sydney Writers is running a competition for the Best Australian Blog and voting for the People’s Choice Award is open to the public. A number of avid bookbloggers participating in the Australian Women Writers Challenge have been nominated. These include:

One newcomer who has just signed up to the challenge and whose blog has been nominated is Emily. (I’m sure there are others out there!)

Take some time to see what these bookbloggers are reviewing and, if you like what they’re writing, vote for them here.

You can vote for more than one blog – but you can only vote once. Voting closes 9 May 2012.

The more votes these bookbloggers get, the better the chances their blogs will come to the attention of a wider audience – and the greater the profile for Australian women writers.

There are also authors whose pages have been nominated:

Both Christine and Tansy have contributed guest author reviews for the AWW blog. Tansy reviewed Kirsten McDermott’s Madigan Mine, while Christine reviewed Paula Constant’s Sahara. Louise wrote a guest post “In defence of books written by women for women“.

Do you know any other book bloggers or authors participating in the AWW challenge whose blogs have been nominated for the People’s Choice Award? If so, please leave a comment below with a link to their blog.

And don’t forget to vote!
