Two weeks ago we brought you the wonderful Robin Bower in our first episode of our In Conversation Series.

We have tweaked things a little since then.

In Conversation is now a fortnightly podcast series with the occasional accompanying video which gives you, lovely readers, even more choice on how to hear what your favourite authors have to say and makes it more accessible to all of you.

It also means a greater selection of authors and allows us to give you an interview even if our webcams die on us/our graphic cards give out/someone has a bad hair day.

Speaking of hair, with her shock of red-pink-possibly purple but we aren’t quite certain hair, we have Marianne De Pierres also known as Marianne Delacourt in the hot seat to talk about all things to do with the writing life, mad zany characters and also, cake. Yes, cake. The cake is important.

She is a fantastically prolific author, responsible for the crime fiction and science fiction series, Tara Sharp, Parish Plesiss and Peacemaker.

Subscribe to the entire series for automatic (and occasionally early) updates with new episodes.

We are taking suggestions for writers you want us to interview.

If you have more questions for Marianne, please leave them in the comments below so she can respond with answers.

Peacemaker by Marianne De Pierres

 Terrified of missing out?

If you don’t want to miss the podcast or the videos, subscribe to the website (see the helpful section in the sidebar), the podcast series on PodBean and our Youtube channel.

If you think Marianne De Pierres is awesome, she has a website, Twitter and Facebook page and you can buy Peacemaker and her other novels including the Tara Sharp and Parish Plesiss series right now. We would like to see a lot of reviews in the next few weeks.

The interviewer who laughs too much and gets too excited is journalist and writer Marisa Wikramanayake. If you adore her, you can send your #askanauthor questions to her on Twitter.
