Welcome to a new year of historical fiction reading and reviewing. This first round up is much bigger than usual as it covers both January and February, on account of the Yearly wrap ups being posted in January.

Overall, historical fiction is off to a great start with 51 reviews on 34 books written by 31 authors, so far for the year.

To break it down though:

January – 27 reviews on 23 books written by 21 authors

February – 24 reviews on 16 books written by 15 authors

I thought January would be much higher with all of the summer reading but you are all so dedicated to historical fiction that you’re keeping up the momentum beyond the summer holidays! Thank you, to all of you who consistently read and review historical fiction for our challenge, your support is leaving a firm imprint on the Australian literary scene for women writers and historical fiction.
