Welcome to the October 2019 Erotica, Romance and Romantic Suspense round-up. Despite the slight decline in reviews linked to the database this month, there are still plenty of books to choose from – especially if you are looking for a new romance series. In October, the romance category attracted 15 reviews, of 13 books, of 13 authors.

First up on the romance podium is Up on Horsehoe Hill by Penelope Janu, which well and truly hit the spot for our wonderful lead reviewer Helen Sibbritt. Helen warns readers to clear their calendar for this rural romance, as you won’t want to put it down!

Next on my list is Riverstone Ridge by prolific Australian rural romance novelist Mandy Magro. Riverstone Ridge is a recommended title for romantic suspense fans. Shelleyrae at Book’d Out described this novel as ’emotive, enjoyable and engaging’.

Another fabulous book you must add to your list is Diamond in the Dust, the second issue in Mel A. Rowe’s Elsie Creek outback series. I personally enjoyed the previous book in Mel A. Rowe’s series, so I am really looking forward to exploring book two, thanks to a glowing report from Helen Sibbritt.

Series based rural romance dominated our category this past month. The Bindarra Creek series proved to be a winner in the eyes of our reviewers. No Looking Back (Bindarra Creek A Town Reborn) by Linda Charles, which is book three in the series, along with Worth the Wait (Bindarra Creek A Town Reborn) by Annie Seaton, which represents book four in the series, both received rave reviews.

It is great to see a spot of historical romance come through this month. Anna Campbell’s The Highlander’s Defiant Captive, which is book #4 in the Lairds Most Likely series, made a most welcome appearance in October.

Two Christmas themed romance titles were added to our books during October. Both these titles will put you in the Christmas romance spirit. Be sure to investigate reviews for Christmas with the Firefighter (Cape Hope, #1) by Clare Connelly and The Trouble with Christmas (Credence, Colorado #2) by Amy Andrews.

Celebrating diversity in romance is Upside Down, a March 2019 release by N.R. Walker. Amy from Lost in a Good Book provided an insightful review of this title.

Favourite romance titles that featured in past round-ups during October 2019 included:

October 2019 received just one lone older romance title, Forever This Time (Hope Harbor #1) by Ann B. Harrison, which was published in 2017. It seems we all loved our 2019 new release books, with most books read in this round-up period published in the last 2 months!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our reviewers for linking such a great array of books to the database, your support is invaluable! Until we meet again next month, keep enjoying those wonderful romance books!
