As the year winds down to a close and we enter the final month of 2019 Australian Women Writers Challenge, the romance category notched up a healthy set of reviews for November. The official result for romance in November reflects a total 33 reviews, of 32 books, of 29 authors.

November proved to be quite a diverse month in terms of the romance books we read. Everything from new releases,  historical romance, romantic suspense, rural romance, erotica, paranormal fiction, romantic suspense, contemporary romance, festive themed romance, short stories and novellas popped up. I think we are really spoilt for choice this month, the list is expansive.

This month our love continued for Up on Horseshoe Hill, by popular rural romance novelist Penelope Janu. Two convincing reviews from Shelleyrae of Book’d Out and Claire of Claire’s Reads & Reviews came in during November.

Clare Connelly was also popular author choice this month. Three reviews were logged in for Clare’s books, these included, The Greek’s Billion Dollar Baby, Bride Behind the Billion-Dollar Veil and Christmas with the Firefighter.

An author I personally recommend, Beth Prentice, received two entries this round up. Fatal Break and Lethal Tide, which are both from the Aloha Lagoon cosy mystery/romance series, made an appearance this month.

If you enjoy action and crime based romance, Relentless by Leah Ashton will definitely draw appeal. Relentless represents the third book in the WASP Team series. What a treat for romantic suspense fans!

Eliza Bennetts is an author who recently came to my attention with her Seasons series. I have all three books in the series to explore and I was recently able to interview Eliza over on my blog, Mrs B’s Book Reviews. Claire’s Reads and Reviews also reviewed the latest book in the Seasons series, Autumn at Blaxland Falls.

Michelle Montebello is an author I greatly admire after I read her book, The Quarantine Station earlier this year. I was so pleased to see that Michelle has released a contemporary romance novel, Beautiful Fragile, which has already collected praise from Helen Sibbritt.

If rural romance is your preferred romance fare, Renee Dahlia has just released the second book in her Merindah Park series, Making Her Mark. This one comes highly recommended by Claire’s Reads and Reviews.

I really love this time of the year for book selections, Christmas themed books always catch my eye. Maddison Michaels presents her readers with The Mistletoe Mistress, which is part of a compilation titled, Once Upon a Christmas Wedding. Make sure you add this one to your holiday reading schedule!

It was a pleasure to be introduced to the work of contemporary romance author Jayne Kingsley, with her appealing novel, Loving Lucas. I’m definitely adding this one to my summer reading pile.

Finally, rounding off the new entries this month, is a romance story told with plenty of lust and passion. Stefanie London’s Faking It, is book #1 in the Close Quarters series. Helen Sibbritt gave this one a big thumbs up.

It time to give recognition to the books that appeared in previous round ups, with new reviews attached. Please click on the links to be taken directly to the reviews of each title. In November we embraced these books again:

The older romance titles category this month was again well received in November, with a book published in 1968 making an entry! Here is a summary of what we read:

Now that was one full romance round up! What will you be reading for the final month of the challenge? I would love to hear your recommendations. Until next month, happy reading and an early merry Christmas to you all!
